How to Store Your Sports Equipment Properly
Whether you are a professional athlete or an average person devoted to sports, you would probably use equipment that is needed to play your game. The equipment being used can be as simple as a single pair of basketball shoes or as complex as a collection of skates and protective gear for hockey. Whatever the case, you can extend the life of your sports gear by taking care of them and storing them properly after every use. First, do not store soiled equipment because it can muck up or damage other gears. For example, a stored muddy pair of shoes can smudge dirt on your helmet and padding, both sharing the same storage space as the shoes. Furthermore, the water from the mud can seep into the wood of that prized wooden bat, weakening the wood and compromising the quality of the equipment. If it is necessary, wash and dry the gear first before putting it in storage.
Place your sports equipment in a chest to protect them from dust, dirt, moisture, and sun. Storing your gear in a chest will help you organise your equipment efficiently. Arrange them carefully in the chest with the largest or strongest pieces at the bottom. Place balls for tennis or baseball in a deep tray. For larger ones such as those used in basketball or football, use ball claws. These contraptions hold the balls and can be attached to the wall. In effect, ball claws can display your prized balls. For freebies, place them in large sealable plastic bags. Another suggested idea is to create an area in your garage as your sports centre. Here you can install shelving and cabinetry where you can place other equipment.
